Jose Piedra Conservas

Jose Piedra Conservas are excellent medium-bodied cigars and a truly underappreciated Cuban stick. They highlight the best flavors of the Vuelta Abajo’s distinct remedios tobacco and are a great option for novices looking for a smooth yet flavorful cigar that won’t overwhelm their senses. 

The Conservas features a neatly rolled Colorado Claro wrapper with a tight double cap. The oily wrapper offers intoxicating aromas of earth and sea spray. While the draw is slightly open after the cut, the burn is consistent, requiring minimal attention throughout the 90 minute smoke time. 

The first third starts out with nutty, light flavors with a hint of moss-like sweetness in the aftertaste. Spice develops over time in this slow-burning cigar, and you’ll find that by the end, the mildness has mostly faded. It’s well-rounded and has something intriguing for novices and aficionados alike.
