The H. Upmann Magnum 54 Tubo is the strongest cigar produced by a brand famous for more mild sticks. Despite its stronger profile, this cigar hasn’t lost any of the delicate, balanced flavors that won the brand 11 medals in international cigar competitions. The cigar is in a Robusto format with a length of 4.7’’ and a ring gauge of 54. The cigar has a chocolate brown wrap, which along with the binder and filler are from the Vuelta Abajo region of Cuba.
The cold draw of the cigar is cedary and light. The first third is mild, with a sweet creamy smoke. The second third develops richer flavors of milk chocolate and toffee with a slight floral note at the top, while the final third brings in a mild savoriness to round out the flavors.
