Davidoff Grand Cru No. 5

The Davidoff Grand Cru No. 5 is a Petit Corona smokable in around 20 minutes. The cigar is 4” long with a ring gauge of 41. Despite its smaller format, the cigar still packs a big flavor punch thanks to the strict hand-rolling techniques used on other sticks in the Grand Cru series. The cigar is wrapped in an aged Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf with a luscious Dominican binder and long filler. 

Though small, this full-bodied cigar has deep and complex flavors. The cold draw has an elegant aroma of semi-sweet chocolate. The first third of the cigar is strong, with hints of licorice and spice. The second third adds layers of oak, cedar, and cinnamon—the final third rounds out the flavor with earthy tones. 

The cigar pulls well, the Connecticut leaf keeping steady charcoal on the foot. This cigar is the perfect coffee break cigar, the rich spice flavor matching well with a dark roasted coffee.
